Hard Work!

Well this is only going to be a short one and by short I mean no football story of the day, no joke of the day and certainly no facebook summary of the day, the reason being that I am overwhelmed with the amount of reading I have to do for work tomorrow. This placement malarchy is not as much of a doss as I was hoping. My supervisor is piling me up with so much work I am already overwhelmed and its only day 2, at least I might be learning something though. High points so far: all the team seem really nice and all are a lot of fun, I can't actually believe they get away with some of the conversations that they have in patients earshot! Also saw an ex-England defender visiting some relatives back in the days where England football team were a team you were proud to support! Low points so far: Lot's of very old, very frail people, can be quite depressing! Out of a ward of 20 patients I think that only one of them has been reasonably chirpy. One particular patient today was lying in bed and I had to help her mobilise by bending her knee up, just as I was half way through this process she explained to me that as I was doing this she felt the need to go for a poo, oh what fun!

Right I'm off to read, hopefully might get to watch the football tonight with dinner (Czech v Turkey game was awesome, last nights games were pants!).
